ZENITH
Zenith is a new research organization, a development based on the previous CENIIT program, that was founded in 1988, within Linköping University. Zenith handles a part of the research funding within the university. The current ZENITH project list can be found at http://zenith.lith.liu.se/projects/. Zenith is lead by a board with seven members, three from industry and four from the university.
All projects are evaluated annually, and the typical duration of a project is six years. The evaluation of projects is mainly based on the following factors:
- Scientific quality.
- Industrial relevance.
- Contacts with industry and other research groups within the university.
Mission
Zenith is a career development program at LiTH, aiming to strengthen the possibilities for researchers to find funding. The program targets researchers that have not yet reached Senior Associate Professor (swe. Bitr�dande Professor), working in innovative areas that connects to existing research at LiTH. The applicant should have 2-4 years of research experience after PhD, approaching or have reached docent, and have a teachers position and main employment at LiTH.
