Zenith is a new research organization, a development based on the previous CENIIT program, that was founded in 1988, within Linköping University. Zenith handles a part of the research funding within the university. The current ZENITH project list can be found at http://zenith.lith.liu.se/projects/. Zenith is lead by a board with seven members, three from industry and four from the university.
All projects are evaluated annually, and the typical duration of a project is six years. The evaluation of projects is mainly based on the following factors:
- Scientific quality.
- Industrial relevance.
- Contacts with industry and other research groups within the university.
MissionZenith is a career development program at LiTH, aiming to strengthen the possibilities for researchers to find funding. The program targets researchers that have not yet reached Senior Associate Professor (swe. Biträdande Professor), working in innovative areas that connects to existing research at LiTH. The applicant should have 2-4 years of research experience after PhD, approaching or have reached docent, and have a teachers position and main employment at LiTH.
